Expedition 1: From Amsterdam to the Arctic
Expedition 1: From Amsterdam to the Arctic
Europe's energy is shifting, and we're on the road to document it.
In 2027, Powerhouse Europe drives from Amsterdam to the Arctic and back, telling one story of a shifting energy landscape across three content tracks.
THE PROJECT
Amsterdam to the Arctic
The clean energy transition is the defining story of our generation, visible in the infrastructure, the landscapes, and the people building it. Europe is further along this road than most of the world realises.
We're going to drive it the hard way, in wintertime, when the sun doesn't shine in the far north and temperatures drop to extreme lows, all in search of energy solutions that work in the harshest conditions.
Starting in Amsterdam, heading north through Scandinavia to the top of Europe, and back, entirely in electric vehicles. Along the route: charging networks, energy innovators, remote communities already living on renewables, and the places where the transition is visibly, tangibly real.
THE CONTENT
Three ways to tell a story
Roel and Hans will hit the road one more time, and this time Chavi Nandez is directing a feature-length documentary for the independent festival circuit. It carries no product placement, just the story and the cinematography to match.
The commercial track, and the one most partners will recognise: brand-integrated, episodic, and built for streaming and wide distribution. Production begins summer 2027.
Short-form content built to travel, running across channels before, during, and after the trip. It drives audiences to both the film and the series and creates space for brand collaborations in a format that moves fast.
WHY EUROPE, WHY NOW
The story is already happening, and we're going to film it.
Europe leads the world in EV adoption, renewable capacity, and energy policy ambition, but it's also confronted with the hard reality of energy dependence on imported fossil fuels. Europe must learn to stand on its own feet and take the lead in its own energy future. The infrastructure and the momentum are both real, but most of the storytelling is still stuck in the "is this even possible?" frame, when the more interesting question is what it actually looks and feels like to live inside this transition.
That gap between the reality and the narrative is exactly where we're working.
WHO WE ARE
The team
We're small, focused, and not interested in making content that hedges. The goal is work that's genuinely compelling and commercially structured, so that partners get real value from being part of it.

PARTNERS & SPONSORS
Let's talk
We're building a small group of founding partners for the 2027 journey, brands and organisations with a genuine stake in how this story gets told.
Partnership opportunities span the documentary series, the social content programme, and select live moments along the route. If you're working in energy, mobility, technology, or sustainability and want to reach audiences who care about Europe's future, we'd like to hear from you.
